Working with us
Terms and conditions
These terms explain how quotes, bookings, payments and cancellations work when you use Glacier Cleaning Services. Please read them before accepting a quote.

About us
Glacier Cleaning Services is a trading name of Daniel Stephens, of 15 Segensworth Road, Fareham, PO15 5DZ. You can contact us at info@glaciercleaningservices.co.uk or 07901 153223.
In these terms, “we” and “us” means Glacier Cleaning Services, and “you” means the customer who books the work.
Quotes
- Quotes are based on the information and photographs you give us, and on the property, access and condition we expect to find.
- If the job turns out to be materially different when we arrive, for example a larger area, heavier build-up or harder access, we will explain this and agree any change with you before carrying on.
- A quote is valid for the period stated on it. If no period is stated, please check with us before booking that the price still applies.
- Any specific terms written on your quote apply alongside these terms. If they differ, the quote takes priority.
Bookings, access and weather
- A booking is confirmed when you accept a quote, whether online, in writing or by message, and we confirm an appointment.
- Please make sure we can safely reach the areas to be cleaned. That can mean unlocking gates, securing pets, moving vehicles or furniture and telling us about any access or parking restrictions.
- If we cannot reach the work on the agreed day, we will contact you to rearrange. Where your quote says a charge applies for a wasted visit, that charge may be made.
- Exterior cleaning depends on the weather. We may rearrange an appointment for rain, high winds, ice or other conditions that would make the work unsafe or affect the result, and will offer the next suitable date.
Results and existing condition
- We choose a cleaning method suited to each surface and will explain the result you can expect. Some staining, discolouration or weathering cannot be fully removed.
- Cleaning can reveal existing problems such as loose pointing, cracked tiles, failed sealant, worn surfaces or damaged guttering. We are not responsible for defects that were already present, but will let you know if we notice them.
- Moss and organic growth can return over time depending on the location, shade and weather.
Payment
- We do not take deposits or payment in advance. You pay once the work has been completed.
- After the work, we will send you an invoice. Payment is due by the date shown on it. Available payment methods are shown on the invoice, and may include online card payment through Stripe.
- For regular cleans, each visit is invoiced after it has been carried out.
- Business customers who pay late may be charged statutory interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer and you agree the work away from our business premises, for example at your home, by phone, by message or online, you have the right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason. The 14 days start on the day you accept the quote.
To cancel, tell us clearly by email, phone or message using the details at the top of these terms. You do not need to use a particular form.
- If you cancel before any work has started, you will have nothing to pay.
- If you ask us to start work within the 14 days and then cancel, you will pay a fair amount for the work carried out up to the point you told us.
- If you ask us to carry out the work within the 14 days and it is fully completed, you will no longer have the right to cancel that work.
If your appointment falls within the 14 days, accepting the quote is your request for us to start the work within the cancellation period.
Rearranging or cancelling an appointment
- Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to rearrange or cancel an appointment. Where your quote says a charge applies for late cancellation, that charge may be made.
- You can stop a regular cleaning arrangement at any time by letting us know. You only pay for visits that have already been carried out.
- We may occasionally need to rearrange because of illness, equipment failure or the weather. If so, we will contact you as early as we can.
If something is not right
We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill and are fully insured. If you are unhappy with the work, or think something has been damaged, please tell us as soon as possible, ideally with photographs, so we can look into it and put things right.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses where you are a consumer.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Business customers
The consumer cancellation rights above do not apply to businesses. Other terms for commercial work may be set out in your quote or a separate agreement.
Your information and these terms
We use your personal information as described in our privacy policy.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you accept a quote applies to that work. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
